Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including planning routes and assigning drivers - Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery - Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on shipment status - Enter data into transportation management systems and maintain accurate records - Assist with logistics coordination, such as coordinating shipping and receiving activities - Dispatch drivers and provide necessary instructions for pick-up and delivery - Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints related to transportation services Requirements:
- Previous experience in transportation planning, logistics, or a related field - Proficiency in data entry and working with transportation management systems (e.
g.
, SyteLine, AS400) - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Familiarity with supply chain processes and shipping/receiving operations - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of phone systems for effective communication with drivers and customers Note:
