The Electronics and Imaging business (E&I) of the Specialty Products Division is a world leader in the electronic materials and advanced printing markets. The E&I Process and Safety Engineering group provide engineering subject matter expertise to all E&I manufacturing sites in support of process design, improvement and safety initiatives.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Engineering SME works closely with E&I manufacturing sites to execute technical programs aimed at addressing process equipment problems and/or improving equipment performance to achieve increased throughput, reliability or process yield. Programs may be small, involving only individual effort, or larger, involving multi-person teams. This role is also expected to provide equipment related subject matter expertise to the plant sites in the applicant's specific area of expertise.
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Interfacing with manufacturing site engineers to identify improvement opportunities and conceptualize and design improvement projects.
Building, leading and integrating cross-functional teams required to execute programs. Including identifying required competencies and working with site and other E&I leadership to secure both internal and contract resources as needed.
Working as an individual contributor in his/her specific area(s) of expertise
Working directly with manufacturing operators / technicians to execute technical work
Management of project schedule and budgets
Identification and contract management of contract engineering resources.
Stakeholder communication, both internal and external, in the form of formal presentations and reports and informal day-to-day communication of team progress as needed
Job Qualifications
Minimum Job Requirements:
BS or MS degree in mechanical or chemical engineering with 5 or more years' experience executing technical engineering work in a manufacturing environment.
Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas is required:
Electromechanical system design
Machine design and
Film casting and coating lines (die coating, tenter frames, floatation dryers)
Web handling systems
Chemical processes and processing equipment
Automation systems

Working knowledge in strength of materials, heat transfer, fluid dynamics and statistics
The ability to interface with site engineers to generate, define, and develop relevant technical programs
Practical engineering expertise with demonstrated skill in solving complex technical problems
The ability to work on multiple (2-3) projects simultaneously
The ability, knowledge, and experience "to frame a problem" and determine what competencies and specific techniques must be applied to deliver results most effectively
Ability to lead through influence
Conflict resolution skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Interpersonal, leadership, and networking skills.
The ability to work as a team member in a respectful manner in a diverse work environment
Desirable Experience/Attributes:
Experience / knowledge in one or more of the following areas of expertise are desirable but not required:
Demonstrated ability to exercise a high degree of judgment and skill in uncertain situations
3D CAD modeling with Pro/E or Solidworks

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
